The facility houses a well-equipped free weight and lifting area, Nautilus room, cardiovascular room, and men and women's locker rooms with saunas, and showers. There are two main gymnasiuns, three racquetball courts, a wallyball court and a childrens playroom for parents with children.

The Fitness Center also holds many tournaments, competitions and other fitness events throughout the year, including Million Push-up/Crunch Challenge, Wing Fun Runs, 'I got fit on Route 66' and many more.

The Lady Patriots want YOU! The Altus AFB Female Varsity Basketball Team, The Lady Patriots, are looking for 12 skilled and dedicated basketball players who wish to compete against other bases on behalf of Altus AFB. If you're interested, please do not miss the tryouts on Tuesday, September 9 at 6 pm at the Base Fitness Center. For more information, pelase contact 481-7440.
Can you RISE to the Challenge? Rising Eagle VI - Saturday, September 13 @ 8 am at the Fitness Center - Compete in a 4 mile run around the base - T-shirt will be awarded to the fastest male & female competitors - Sign up at the Fitness Center or call 481-7440.
Can You Lift A C-17? Challenge - September 15-November 15 - Only Pectoral Exercises Count

Integrity-Based Program. Participants may use free weights or select equipment (push-ups do not count). Two categories: Beginner & Advanced. Beginner competitors only need to lift a total of 141,250LBS to reach goal. Advanced participants will be required to lift 282,500LBS to reach goal. Register NLT Monday, September 15 - Call 481-7440 to register or stop by the Fitness Center.
Korean Sword Martial Arts Class instructed by Gordon Tucker - Starts Tuesday, July 1 and is held every Tuesday & Thursday from 5:30 pm until 7 pm and every Saturday from 9 pm until 10 pm at the Fitness Center - No pre-registration is required. For more information, please contact 481-7440/7153
Circuit Training at the Fitness Center - Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday - Mornings Class from 6:30-7:30 am - Evening Class from 5-6 pm
Fitness Improvement Program - Monday, Wednesday & Friday at the Fitness Center - Mornings from 6:30 am until 7 am & Evenings from 5 pm until 6 pm - FIP is a circuit training program with the goal of preparing Active Duty military members to be 'Fit to Fight'. FIP will take you from 'doughboy' to 'prime beef' in weeks. Stop by the Fitness Center for more details or call 481-7440.
